Why should you form or join a team for Walk MS?

#1 - Walk MS is about having a great day while making a difference for the more than 7,000 people living with MS in Oregon and SW Washington.  Walk Day can be even better when shared with others.  Participating with friends, family, or co-workers makes the day even more memorable and fun!

#2 - Working with your teammates can make fundraising easier.  Whether you are aiming for the suggested minimum pledge amount ($100) or striving for VIP status ($500+), working with your teammates can make it easier to reach your goals.

Even if you are already signed up for Walk MS, it's not too late to form or join a team.  All it takes is four or more people!  Contact Rebecca Kottler at 503.445.8351 or rebecca@defeatms.com and get your team ready to go!

What is a Team?
A team is any group of coworkers, fellow students, religious/civic organization members, friends, or family members who pre-register, raise money, and walk together on the day of Walk MS. We provide materials, activities, prizes and a staff available to help when you need it. All you need to do is recruit teammates and motivate them to collect contributions to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis.

Corporate Teams
Thousands of companies join the MS movement each year by participating in Walk MS events across the nation. Learn how your company can get involved. View more information on Corporate Teams.

How do I get started as a team captain?
Becoming a team captain is easy. Start with registering yourself and picking a team name. There is no fee to register a team for the Walk MS. An official Walk MS team has 4 members. The rest is as simple as 1-2-3.

1. Recruit and Register Team Members!
2. Raise Money and Motivate Your Team!
3. Have Fun!

Thank you for joining the movement to create a world free of MS!
